Geoffrey Gordon began practicing meditation and kirtan in 1971 after meeting Ram Dass. He studied tabla with Ustad Allarakha and began playing tabla and singing at kirtans with Krishna Das, Jai Uttal and Bhagavan Das in 1975. From 1978-1992 Geoffrey lived in NYC working in the music business and teaching at Sarah Lawrence College and City College of NY. After moving to California in 1992 Geoffrey worked closely with Jai Uttal presenting kirtans worldwide for over a decade. He was the percussionist for the Pagan Love Orchestra on all tours recordings. He played tabla and sang on Ram Dass's CD "Chord of Love" and on Krishna Das's first CD "One Track Heart". He co-produced and sang on "Hanuman Chaleesa: Songs in Praise of Hanuman", co-produced and composed music for Shiva Rea's CD "Yoga Trance Dance" and produced Swami Vishwananda's CDs "Love Beyond Words I and II. Geoffrey has lead kirtan at darshans and events with Ram Dass, Swami Vishwananda and many others. He leads kirtan regularly i
