Freedom and Leela, world music singers of Gurbani Kirtan, Sanskrit Chants, Gurmukhi Mantras and yoga chant music have toured the globe for the past 15 years singing their mesmerizing sounds to millions of listeners. They conduct kirtan chant seminars and workshops, and share their Gurbani Kirtan, yoga chants and Bhakti Yoga music at concerts, yoga centers and Sikh Gurudwaras. Freedom, born in Kenya with parents from India, moved to Vancouver in 1969. Gurbani Kirtan and Mystical writings and were instilled into the core of Freedom while he was a fetus in the womb of his mother. He began singing Gurbani Kirtan and Gurmukhi Mantras during his elementary school years and continues to share this passion. Leela, born in Nova Scotia is of Scottish origin. She grew up singing Scottish and Christian songs, and New Age music for relaxation and meditation. Trained as a professional soprano, she blends her melodious voice weaving western sensitivities in music for yoga and world music.
